Stacey Blase, PhD

I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Duke University and my masters and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Yale University. I completed both my pre-doctoral clinical internship and my post-doctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center. Since concluding my school experiences, I have been dedicated to providing outpatient therapy to adolescents and adults in New York and Connecticut. I have also taught and supervised graduate students, post doctoral fellows, residents, and social workers in CBT and DBT based therapies, and have served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Yale Department of Psychiatry.

My specific areas of passion include evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based treatments, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). For over a decade, I have worked to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to people across the lifespan. I specialize in individual therapy for depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder and related disorders, anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation, general discontent, stress, and adjustment to life transitions.

As a founding member of C&B Psychological Services, my main goal is to help each of my clients find relief and meaning in life – in the midst of whatever stressors they may be facing. I am committed to sharing the many strategies offered to us by the science of psychology to help individuals cope more effectively now and in the future. By combining a compassionate approach with these evidence-based therapeutic tools, I can teach you how to develop coping strategies you can continue to use and benefit from long after you have completed treatment.
